Our Committed Casting means we're dedicated to your child's success and confidence on stage. That's why we offer three right-sized opportunities to shine in a show. No matter your experience, skill, or stage goals, SPMAD has a cast that's perfect for you.
DEBUT
6 - 9 yo
​Our youngest students receive the perfect introduction to a fun, pressure-free rehearsal environment with arts educators who care about children as creative individuals and develop them to be performers. The Debut experience is complete with performances, sets, and costumes—all without the demands of long evening classes.
BRAVO
8 - 13 yo
​Students explore performing in a professionally produced musical without the stress of auditions. No experience needed. The Bravo experience provides coaching from a team of acting, vocal, and dance educators in convenient rehearsals and ensure students of similar interest and skills take on stage responsibilities matching their goals.
ENCORE
13 - 17 yo
Audition Required
Students with stage experience, training, and stand-out talent take on the audition room, faster-paced rehearsals, and more advanced coaching from a team of acting, vocal, and dance professional educators. The Encore experience is ideal for those with busy schedules who want to be part of a professionally produced musical and thrive in an arts community.

Wednesday Addams, the ultimate princess of darkness, has grown up and fallen in love with a sweet, smart young man from a respectable family whom her parents have never met. She confides in her father and begs him not to tell her mother. Now, Gomez Addams must do something he’s never done before– keep a secret from his beloved wife, Morticia. Everything will change for the whole family on the fateful night they host a dinner for Wednesday’s “normal” boyfriend and his parents.

SUMMARY
Debut cast members attend a weekly one hour rehearsal with students of similar age and skill. Debut cast also benefit from participating in Tech Week Rehearsals and Performances with the BRAVO Cast. No auditions are needed. Everyone is featured in the performance.

All registered students will be cast in the production. Students interested in a lead roll are encouraged to audition for a role to be considered. Auditions Self-Tapes due by 8/12/23 at 3pm. Audition instructions will be sent after registering.

REHEARSALS

Students will meet twice weekly. All students (Company) will attend Sunday rehearsal and then an additional class on Tuesday OR Thursday based on stage responsibility. Company will attend a kick-off on Saturday, 8/19.
  • Company Kick-Off: Saturday, 8/19, from 10am - 2PM
  • Company Rehearsal: Sunday from 1 - 5PM (8/20) then Sunday from 1 - 3PM (8/27 - 10/29). No rehearsal on 9/3.
  • Students with Speaking Lines Class: Tuesdays from 5 - 6:30PM (8/22 - 10/17)
  • Students in Ensemble Class: Select from either Tuesday 6:30 - 8PM or Thursday 5 - 6:30PM (8/22 - 10/17) for the session.
TECH REHEARSAL

  1. Our instructors are required to have professional stage and classroom qualifications to deliver an inclusive, valuable, unforgettable learning experience that builds confidence in our students. 
  2. Our education team has the classroom teaching experience to support students in making new friendships, forming life-time bonds, and becoming part of an empowering arts community.
  3. With a team of patient and positive instructors (who understand that they are mentors too) your child is sure to be inspired and grow as a performer and person.
  4. We've coached students from their first time on stage to being recognized regionally with Broadway Stars of the Future Nomination and Florida State Thespians Critics Choice Award, and nationally with acceptance into Interlochen Center for the Arts, Broadway Arts Alliance, and Joffrey Musical Theater programs.​
